Mary B. Tickerhoff, age 93, of Lords Valley, Hawley, died Thursday, December 31, 2009, at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, NY.  She had resided at Twin Cedars, Shohola, for 1 1/2 years.

She was born September 11, 1916, in Bentleysville, PA, she was the daughter of John and Mary (Klimek) Brna.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Irvin, in 1975.

Mrs. Tickerhoff was a graduate of Central High School and Essex Co. College in Newark.  Formerly of Middlesex, NJ, she had been a registered nurse at Beth Israel and Somerset Medical Center, NJ, prior to her retirement in 1990.

She is survived by one daughter: Judy Madurski of Lords Valley, Hawley; a son and daughter-in-law: Irvin and Beverly Tickerhoff of Middlesex, NJ; five grandchildren: Mary Lou Barassi, Stanley Madurski, Edward Madurski, Michael Madurski and Kevin Tickerhoff; and two great grandchildren: Miranda Barassi and Stanley Madurski III.

She was predeceased by a grandson, John Tickerhoff.

Calling hours will be Wednesday from 10 to 11 am at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Wednesday at 11:00 am at the funeral home with Rev. Douglas S. Miller, Minister of Evangelism at Hawley United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Paupack.
