Donald James Geddes, Sr., age 69, of Paupackin Lake Estates, Hawley, and formerly of Sloatsburg, NY, died Sunday, January 3, 2010, at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale.

Mr. Geddes was born December 18, 1940, in Plainfield, NJ, and was the son of the late Roy Andrew and Agnes (Nelson) Geddes.

Donald was a 1959 graduate of Suffern, NY, High School and retired in 1995 as an auto body shop manager for Mahwah Ford.

He was a life/benefactor member of the NRA and Ducks Unlimited, an avid cook and woodworker who enjoyed making rocking horses for kids. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Carol A.(Petrosky) Geddes; one son and daughter-in-law:  Donald, Jr and Mary Ellen Geddes of Rocky Hill , NJ; two daughters and sons-in-law:  Leigh-Ann and Eric Burke of Hamburg, NJ, and Jennifer and Eric Sievers of Moscow, PA; 6 grandchildren:  Ian, Logan, Sarah, Peyton, Landon and Mason; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his siblings:  Beverly, Robert and Barbara.

No public funeral service is planned.

Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel, PA.
