Turner P. " Lefty" Maxham, age 85, of Tafton died Saturday, January 9, 2010 at VA Medical Center in Wilkes-Barre.

Mr. Maxham was born May 17, 1924 in Hanover, NH and was the son of the late Turner and Chrystal (Parker) Maxham. He was predeceased by his wife Elizabeth Stimpson Maxham.

He served in the Navy during World War II and was an upholsterer.

He is survived by one son: Calvin Maxham of N. Hartland, VT; one sister: Norma Gibson of Endfield, NH and two brothers: Maxwell Maxham of Hartland, VT, Roger Maxham of Sharon, VT; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Cremation was at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel.
