Josephine Beja, age 92, a resident of 23 Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale, died Monday, December 12, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Anthony P. Beja, in 1998.

Born August 24, 1919, in Orange, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Felicia (D'Amato) Trezza. Formerly of Maplewood, NJ, she worked on the sales staff of Lord and Taylor in New Jersey and won first place in a Lord and Taylor sales competition many years ago.

Mrs. Beja was a member of BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Hawley and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Orange, NJ. She also enjoyed oil painting.

She is survived by two daughters: Judith Costello and her husband Richard of Hawley, PA, and Aurora Beja of Oswego, IL; two brothers: Frank and Michael Trezza; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, Dec. 15, at 11:00 AM at Our Lady Of Mt. Carmel Church, 103 S. Center St., Orange, NJ. Burial will be in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ, following the service.
