|  Albert J. Smink, age 79, formerly of Hawley and Barryville, NY, died Wednesday, February 1, 2012, at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart. He was preceded in death by his wife, the former Norma Hopps, in 1992. Born in Holland, he immigrated to the United States when he was 18. He served as an MP in the United States Army. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as the bar manager at Paupack Hills Country Club. He was a bartender at Tanglwood Ski Area prior to working at Paupack Hills. An active stamp collector and dealer, he also enjoyed boating on Lake Wallenpaupack, especially with his granddaughter Casey. He is survived by a daughter: Kim Knappenberger and her husband Mike of Tafton; a son: Karl Keller and his wife Mary of Hawley; his mother-in-law: Hazel Hopps of Paupack; five grandchildren: Casey, Kurt, Neve, Trevor and Sebastian; two great grandchildren: Mylee and Xander: a sister: Hanneke DeLueew and a nephew: Arjen DeLueew, both of Holland. He was preceded in death by a son, Kurt Keller, in 1993. Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel. Private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
