Robert Jacob Rowe, age 95, of Cherry Ridge, Honesdale died Monday, December 8, 2014 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale. Mr. Rowe was born May 4, 1919 in Palmyra, PA and was the son of the late Jacob and Carrie (Rickard) Rowe. He was predeceased by a sister, Dorothy Wulff and four brothers, William, John, James & Edward. He was a dairy farmer at the Rowe Brothers Dairy. Robert was a former Wallenpaupack School Director. He was an avid baseball player in Wayne County with Hawley & White Mills and was an inductee in the 1st class of the Wayne County Sports Hall of Fame. He enjoyed bee keeping, gardening and deer hunting. He is survived by his wife of 66 years: Madeline (Larsen) Rowe; two sons: Jerry & his wife, Pat Rowe of Cherry Ridge; Dave & his wife, Linda Rowe of Homer, AK; two daughters: Karen & her husband, Tom Adams of Locke, NY; Ellen Rowe of Cherry Ridge, PA; five grandchildren, Jody, Jason, Kevin & Brian Rowe and Greg Adams; one great grandson, Michael Hathaway; brother & sister-in-law, Joe & Katie Rowe of Cherry Ridge, PA. Calling hours will be Thursday, December 11th from 4 PM to 7 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Friday, December 12th at 11 am at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley with Rev. Colleen E. Cox Pastor St. Paul's Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Green Gates Cemetery in Hawley.
