Dorothy W. Schmidt, age 87, formerly of Hawley, Tafton, Florida, Oklahoma and Washington died Monday, December 15, 2014 at Twin Cedars Assisted Living Center, in Shohola.
Mrs. Schmidt was born September 10, 1927 in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of the late Chauncey and Emily (Sembler) Bartow. She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph J. Schmidt in 2007.
She was a a secretary.
She is survived by three daughters: Virginia & her husband, Martin Monchak of New Hampton, NY; Dorothy & her husband John Bonomi of Milford, PA; Winifred Schmidt of Annopolis, MD and one son: Joseph Schmidt of Hawley, PA; three grandchildren, Kathryn, John & Rebecca.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, December 18th at 10am at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor.
Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel and inurnment will be in B.V.M. Queen of Peace Cemetery.
