Obituary of Caroline D. Scharff

Caroline D. Scharff, age 89, of Tink Wig, Hawley and formerly of Wantage, NJ, died Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center in Honesdale. Mrs. Scharff was born December 6, 1925 inBronx, NY and was the daughter of the late Anthony and Rosina (Zeccola) Spalitta. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert E. Scharff in 2006. She retired as an administrative clerk and was a loving mother and homemaker. She is survived by her son & daughter-in-law, Christopher & Donna Scharff of Tink Wig, Hawley, PA; her daughter & son-in-law, Valerie (Scharff) & Jonathan Thayer of Greenwood Lake, NY; granddaughters: Amanda & Carrie Scharff of Tink Wig, Hawley, PA; one brother: Charles Spalitta. Calling hours will be Saturday, January 31,2015 from 2 to 4 PM only at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA, followed by a prayer service at 7 PM with Deacon Matthew Lorent officiating.
