Verna A Drake, age 90, formerly of Walt's Landing, Hawley, died Sunday, February 1, 2015 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center in Honesdale.
Mrs. Drake was born September 21, 1924 in Blooming Grove , PA and was the daughter of the late John and Loretta (Runyon) Altemeier. She was predeceased by her husband, Robert J. Drake in 1965.
She was a secretary for Cove Haven Resort and loved to fish and garden.
She is survived by one son: Robert Drake of Blooming Grove, PA; two daughters: Kathleen Schmitz of Hawley and Susan Fetterman of Scranton, PA; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
A prayer service was held Friday, February 13th at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley with Deacon Matthew Lorent officiating.
Burial will be in B.V.M. Queen Of Peace Cemetery, Hawley in the spring of 2015.
