Lorraine Benevento-Garcia, age 60, of Hawley and formerly of New York City, died Sunday, February 15, 2015 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale.
Mrs. Benevento-Garcia was born November 9, 1954 in Brooklyn, NY and was the daughter of Isabella (Cannistraci) Benevento and the late Eugene Benevento.
She was a homemaker and enjoyed horseback riding.
She is survived by her husband of 23 years: Ceasar Garcia; one daughter & son-in-law, Samantha & Cristian Piedrabuena of Hawley, PA; granddaughter, Lilliana Piedrabuena of Hawley, PA; mother: Isabella (Cannistraci) Benevento of Ozone Park, NY; one sister: Antoinette Como of Ozone Park, NY and two nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 21st at 11 am at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley with Rev. Martin L. Cox, Jr., Retired Pastor Hawley United Methodist Church, officiating.
Inurnment will be in St. Charles Cemetery in New York.
