Obituary of Ronald W Meling, Sr

Ronald W Meling, Sr, age 80, of Damascus and formerly of Lackawaxen, Seeley's Landing, Tafton, PA and St. Augustine, FL, died peacefully in his home, surrounded by family on Monday, April 6, 2015. Mr. Meling was born June 25, 1934 in Honesdale, PA and was the son of the late Walter and Gladys (Meyer) Meling. He was predeceased by his only son Ronald, Jr. "Dutch" Meling. Ronald was a foreman/supervisor and.was a wonderful man who worked hard. He adored his wife and family and could never pass up a good day of hunting or fishing, especially for walleye. He was a former member of Lackawaxen Ambulance. He is survived by his wife of 61 years: Shirley (Woleski) Meling; four daughters & sons-in-law, Stacey & Jeff Moors of York, PA; Jackie & Dave Mueller of Damascus, PA; Tammy Lawler & Dave Rock of Dingman's Ferry, PA; Sharon & George Koufas of St. Augustine, FL; 14 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. A gathering of family & friends will be held at the Mueller home, 211 B Schuman Rd, Damascus on Thursday, April 9th at 1 PM. Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel.
