Obituary of Joseph V. Rubino

Joseph V. Rubino, age 69, of Masthope, Lackawaxen, died Thursday, May 7, 2015 at Regional Hospital Of Scranton. Mr. Rubino was born March 25, 1946, in Brooklyn, NY, and was the son of the late Vito and Josephine (Yovino) Rubino. He attended St John's University and was an insurance broker for Marsh & McLennan in NYC. After years of hard work in New York City, Joe enjoyed an early retirement in Northeast PA. He spent his days with family and friends living his dream in the Poconos. His generosity, wisdom, humor and unconditional love will live on through the many lives he touched throughout the years. He is survived by his wife of 44 years: Jeanne M (Casey) Rubino; one son: Joseph V. Rubino, Jr. of Hawley; one daughter and son-in-law: Wendy and John Creamer of Fawn Lake, Hawley; grandchildren: Caeli, Johnny, Brendon and Marie; one sister: Antoinette Gilchrist of Clearwater, FL; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Calling hours will be Monday, May 11th, from 5 to 8 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, May 12th, at 10 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel and inurnment will be in B.V.M. Queen of Peace Cemetery in Hawley on Saturday May 16th at 12 Noon.
