Obituary of Eva Ruth Flannery

Eva Ruth Flannery, age 86, of Honesdale died following an illness Friday, October 23, 2015, at Hospice of the Sacred Heart, Dunmore. She was preceded in death by her husband of 18 years, Edward J. Flannery, in 2005. Born February 14, 1929, in Berlin, Germany, she emigrated to the United States in 1952. Prior to her retirement 30 years ago, she worked as an accountant and controller. Mrs. Flannery was a member of German American Club and the Order of the Eastern Star She is survived by one daughter: Kim Carroll and her husband William of Monroe Twp., NJ; a granddaughter: Stephanie Moore of Austin, TX; and her companion: Matt Hoelzli of Beach Lake, PA. A Memorial Service will be held Thursday, October 29, at 12:00 noon at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, with Rev. Norman R. Beighley, Pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church, officiating. Calling hours will be prior to the service from 11 AM to Noon at the funeral home. Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
