Obituary of Chris Michael DeCandido

Chris Michael DeCandido, age 61, of Lords Valley died Friday, November 20, 2015, at Regional Hospital of Scranton. He is survived by his wife, Janet Kerin (Quick) DeCandido, with whom he had just celebrated thirty years of marriage. Born April 16, 1954, in Honesdale, PA, he was the son of the late Corrado Costante DeCandido and the late Marguerite (Eggenberger) Schmitt. Prior to his retirement, he had been a truck driver for PennDOT. Chris was also a talented mechanic who had his own garage for many years. He loved restoring old cars and tending his vegetable garden. In addition to his wife, he is survived two grandchildren: Corrado Costante DeCandido of Zephyr Hills, FL, and Arriana of Kimbles, PA; a stepson: Jason Skisland of Bohemia, PA; and two brothers: Allan DeCandido of Middletown, NY, and Anthony Decandido and his fiancee, Barbara Bunce of Lords Valley, PA. He was preceded in death by a brother, David. A Memorial Gathering for Chris will be scheduled for Spring 2016. Interment was held at Greeley Cemetery, Greeley, PA.
