Obituary of Kenneth E. McCurdy

Kenneth E. McCurdy, age 81, of Woodloch Springs, Hawley died Friday, January 22, 2016, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Margaret J. (Myers) McCurdy. Born June 21, 1934, in Dillsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Harry J. and Kathryn Mae (Baker) McCurdy. He earned his BS in civil engineering at Drexel University. Prior to his retirement, he was President of Raymond Keyes Associates, Elmsford, NY. Prior to moving to Woodloch Springs in 1996, he had been a resident of Irvington, NY and Moon Township, PA. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons: Michael McCurdy and his wife Maggie of Long Beach, LI, NY, and Jeffrey A. McCurdy and his wife Barbara of Bethesda, MD; one daughter: Jodi A. Eskin and her husband Neal of Tolland, CT; his grandchildren: Kenneth and his wife Jessica, Mary Kate, Matthew, MIchael, Jane, Benjamin and Adam; his sister: Sandra Hertweck and her husband Michael of Mechanicsburg, PA; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 30, at 2 PM at Cocklin Funeral Home, 30 North Chestnut St., Dillsburg, PA, with a Gathering prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM. Inurnment will take place at Dillsburg Cemetery. Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel, PA. An additional Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, Feb. 27, at Bethel Lutheran Church, Church Rd., Rowland, PA.
