James Ciszak, Jr., age 24, of Hawley died unexpectedly Thursday, February 11, 2016 at home. Born October 8, 1991, in Honesdale, he was the son of James and Janet (Klecha) Ciszak of Hawley. He was a graduate of Wallenpaupack Area High School, Class of 2010. He attended the culinary arts program at Lackawanna College. He worked as a chef at Ehrhardt's Restaurant in Tafton and he truly loved being a chef. James was a member of BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Hawley. In addition to his parents, he is survived by one brother: Kenny Ciszak of Hawley; one sister: Tori Ciszak of Hawley; his paternal grandfather: Richard Ciszak and his wife Janet of Hawley; His maternal grandmother: Patricia Klecha of Carteret, NJ; many aunts and uncles: Richard and Eileen Ciszak, Mark and Connie Ciszak, Tom and Ruthann Ciszak, Ellen and Eddie Busch, Bobby and Diane Klecha, and Mark and Stacy Klecha; and many, many cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Grace Ciszak, and his maternal grandfather, Robert Klecha. Calling hours will be Monday, February 15, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. There will be a Funeral Mass Tuesday, February 16, at 10:00 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley celebrated by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel. Memorials may be made to Wayne County Heroin Prevention Task Force, PO Box 648, 925 Court St., Honesdale, PA 18431.
