Obituary of Eileen Catherine Schondebare

Eileen Catherine Schondebare, age 79, of Masthope, Lackawaxen and formerly of Huntington, LI, NY died Monday, March 28, 2016 at Geisinger-Community Medical Center in Scranton, PA. Mrs. Schondebare was born July 28, 1936 at Staten Island, NY the daughter of the late Alfred and Sybille (Wiemar) Braemer. She was predeceased by a son Gary in 1960. Eileen retired as a home economics teacher for North Babylon School District in 1991. She lived in Lackawaxen part-time since 1988 and full-time in early 90's following her retirement. She loved bingo and visiting casinos. She is survived by three sons: Fred Schondebare of Clatskanie, OR; Jeff and his wife, Kim Schondebare of Huntington Bay, LI, NY; Michael Schondebare and his fiancée, Nancy Baker of Hawley, PA; five grandchildren, Patrick and his wife, Jamie Schondebare of Greenlawn, NY; Heather Schondebare and her fiancée, Tim Jennings of Richmond, VA; Lauren and her husband, Raymond Eiring of Deer Park, LI, NY; Renee Schondebare of Deer Park, LI, NY; Aidan Hines of Venice, FL; one great granddaughter, Makayla. A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 2nd at 11 AM at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 11 Ogden Ct, Huntington Station, NY. Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel.
