Obituary of Stephen A. Williams

Stephen A. Williams, age 58, of Alwada West, Greentown died Thursday, May 19, 2016, at Geisinger-Community Medical Center, Scranton. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Kim Cheryl (Miller) Williams. Born March 17, 1958, in Bristol, PA, he was the son of the late Earl and Lois (Conard) Williams. He was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Bristol and served in the Navy from 1977 to 1987. Formerly of Levittown, PA, he had been a Greentown resident since 1988. Prior to his retirement, he as the owner and operator of Williams of Greentown, an HVAC service company. Steve was a member of Paupack United Methodist Church and a former but longtime member of Tafton Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son: Kyle Williams of Greentown; his daughter: Dana Williams of Greentown; two sisters: Clair Rice of Elmira, NY, and Jannette Cooper of Englewood, FL; three brothers: Edwin Williams of Bealsville, MD, David Williams of Levittown, PA, and Alan Williams of Burlington, NJ; as well as several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held at 11 AM on June 4, 2016, at Paupack United Methodist Church, 579 Route 507, Paupack. Visitation will be held at the church from 10 to 11 AM prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the National Parkinson's Foundation at www.parkinsons.org or Paupack United Methodist Church, 579 Route 507, Paupack, PA 18451.
