Obituary of Marion Louise Hughes

Marion "Penny" Hughes passed away peacefully on June 12, 2016. Born and raised in Bermuda April 16, 1930, she is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Robert, and their five children, John, Bob, Heather, Keith and Glenn, and spouses and 12 grandchildren.
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania, she taught elementary school. She played tennis, skied, and was a huge baseball fan. She loved tending her family and her flowers. She was a longtime volunteer at the Hawley Library, earning Volunteer of the Year in 2014.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2016, at 11:00 AM at the First Presbyterian Church, 815 Church Street, Hawley. In lieu of flowers, donations would be appreciated to the Hawley Public Library, 103 Main Ave., Hawley, PA 18428.
