Vaudine M. Lyon, age 86, of Hawley died Saturday, July 30, 2016 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale.
Mrs. Lyon was born February 7, 1930 in Hornell, NY and was the daughter of the late Herman R. and Orcelia (LaBar) Phillilps. She was predeceased by her husband of 44 years, Darbie D. Lyon in 2006.
She was an L.P.N. and a member of B.V.M. Queen of Peace church where she was a lector, CCD teacher and was a member of the Ladies Luncheon committee. Vaudine was also a member of the Lakeville Fire Dept Ladies Auxilitary and the Honesdale Christmas Bureau.
She is survived by one step son: Thomas Lyon of Hawley, PA; one step daughter, Dawn Love of Dansville, NY; one sister: Francis Gottschall of Artport, NY and one brother: James E. Phillips of Dansville, NY and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Monday, August 1st from 5 to 7 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday, August 2nd at 10:00 at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor.
Burial will be in B.V.M. Queen Of Peace Cemetery in Hawley.
Mrs. Lyon requests no flowers and memorials contributions to the donor's favorite charity.
