Obituary of Laura L. Kleinhans

Laura L. Kleinhans, age 66, of Hawley died Wednesday, October 5, 2016, at Carbondale Nursing Home, Carbondale. She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Robert L. Kleinhans. Born September 8, 1950, in Honesdale, PA, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin B. and Alice (Bishop) Franklin. Prior to her retirement, she worked as a seamstress at Katz Underwear Factory in Honesdale. In her free time, she enjoyed sewing and knitting. In addition to her husband, she is survived by one sister: Sally Lowrance of North Carolina; two brothers: Dwight A. Franklin of North Carolina and Frank Franklin of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Claude Franklin. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, October 28, at 2:00 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, with Rev. Douglas Rhine, Pastor of Blooming Grove Baptist Church, officiating.
