Marie Kaltschitz, age 83, of Hawley and formerly of Ridgewood, Queens, NY died Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale.
Mrs. Kaltschitz was born May 30, 1933 in Gottschee (Austria), Yugoslavia and was the daughter of the late Alois and Anna (Jurkowitsch) Weber. She was predeceased by her husband, Alois "Louis" Kaltschitz in 2004.
She retired in 1989 as a seamstress for M&S Knitting Mill, Ridgewood and loved gardening and baking and was a member of BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church.
She is survived by one daughter: Ann Monaghan of Hawley, PA and one son: William Kaltschitz of Hawley, PA and three grandchildren: Samantha Monaghan;, Elizabeth Kaltschitz; and Joseph Bove.
Calling hours will be Friday, December 9th from 8:45 to 9:30AM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley with Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. officiating.
Burial will be in Green Gates Cemetery in Hawley, PA.
