Francis (Frank) Victor Dazenski, 87, of Hawley, died December 29th, 2016. His final days were spent surrounded by family and those who loved him dearly. Frank was born February 20th, 1929 in Speonk (Long Island), NY, to Victoria and Michael Dazenski. Frank married Rosemarie Avellino in 1948, and they eventually settled in Elmont, NY, where he became a volunteer firefighter. In addition, Frank loved to attend Belmont Racetrack as a spectator at the horse races. Rosemarie and Frank later moved to Dix Hills, Long Island, where they raised their family and lived for over 40 years. Frank was a clothing presser by trade and was an avid sports fan of hockey and football. He was a member of the Long Island Country Music Association and was a country line dance instructor with his wife. In 2006, Frank and Rosemarie moved to Hawley, PA. Frank is survived by his wife of 68 years, Rosemarie; his children, Michael Dazenski (Bonnie); Victoria Hoffmann (Glenn); and Alec Dazenski; four grandchildren, Justin, Kevin, Ellyn, and Marc; and his four great-grandchildren, Brayden, Ava, Cora, and Lilah Mae, as well as his sister, Jennie. Frank was a man of many names to many people... We love you and will miss you Frank, Vic, Daddy, Pop-Pop, Grandpa-Vic, and Papa Vic. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 3, from 1 to 4 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St., Hawley. The funeral service will follow at 4 PM. Private cremation will be held at a later date at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 3810.
