Theodore C. Wiedenman, Jr., age 87, of Paupack passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Saturday, June 3, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Ann M. (Hancock) Wiedenman. They were married on July 4, 1959. Born October 27, 1929, in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Theodore C. and Elizabeth M. (Lowell) Wiedenman Sr. He served in the US Navy during the Korean War. Ted attended Brooklyn Polytechnic Institute and graduated with a degree in civil engineering. He spent his career with the New York Telephone Company and retired from Verizon as a manager in the treasury department. A Paupack resident for 15 years, Ted and Ann had formerly been residents of Sparta, NJ. A summer resident on Lake Wallenpaupack since 1966, he loved being on the lake and was an avid water skier. He enjoyed attending Wallenpaupack Historical Society events and the Dorflinger-Suydam Wildflower concerts with his wife Ann. Ted was a dedicated member of BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Hawley. A devoted family man, his life was centered on his children and grandchildren. In addition to his wife, he is survived by four daughters: Elizabeth A. Seipp of Plainsboro, NJ, Barbara J. Wiedenman of Winchester, MA, Jeanne M. Kush and her husband Rex of Framingham, MA, and Susan E. Whitfield and her husband Nick of Mt. Pleasant, SC; one son: Theodore C. Wiedenman III of Philadelphia, PA; one sister: Jeanne M. Wiedenman of Skillman, NJ; and seven grandchildren: Jeannette, Kevin, Nicole, Anna, Jack, Ben and Amelia. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, June 14, at 10:00 AM at BVM Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, celebrated by Rev. Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
