Judith E. Wood, age 82, of Liverpool, NY, died Thursday, October 26, 2023, at home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Carl Wood, in 2000. She later met Joe Pointek who became her life partner until his sudden death in December 2021.

Born October 21, 1941, in Jersey City, NJ, Judith was the daughter of the late Wallace and Alice (Johnson) Luke. She earned her B.S. from Montclair State in Montclair, NJ. Formerly of Edison, NJ, she spent her summers at Spinnlers Point on Lake Wallenpaupack. She enjoyed traveling and the outdoors and loved to cook.

She is survived by four sons and daughters-in-law: David and Karen Wood of Georgetown, NY, John and Allison Wood of Goodyear, AZ, Paul and Kristen Wood of Charleston, SC, and Matthew and Shawn Wood of Oak Creek, CO; her brother and sister-in-law: David and Carol Luke of Medford, NJ; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Calling hours will be Friday, November 3, 2023, from 11 AM to Noon at Teeters' Funeral Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will follow at 12:00 Noon at the funeral home with The Rev. Ronald R. Miller of St. John's Episcopal Church in Hamlin officiating. Burial will be in East Canaan Cemetery, Lake Ariel, PA.
