Anna L. Huber Obituary

Anna L. Huber, age 83, of Tink Wig, Hawley passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Rudolf Huber, in 2019.



Born September 14, 1940, in Oetigheim, Germany, Anna was the daughter of the late Wilhelm and Margareta (Nold) Speck. She emigrated to the United States to work as a nanny in 1957 when she was only 17.



She worked in various jobs over her lifetime including as a seamstress and in a bakery. In their later years, she and her husband Rudolf owned and operated the Village Store, a deli in Tannersville. Anna was a member of Our Lady of Victory Roman Catholic Church when she and her husband lived in Tannersville.



She is survived by one son: Rudi Huber and his wife, Kelly of Hawley, with whom she resided; and three grandchildren: Taylor, Benjamin and Connor Huber, all of Bethlehem, PA.



She was preceded in death by her brother, Hans Speck.



Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.



A Memorial Service will be scheduled in the near future at a date and location to be announced.
