Bette Ann Warner Obituary

Bette A. Warner, nee Selser, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Born January 12, 1947 in Newark, NJ to Wesley Selser and the former Ewina Austin, she was a 1965 graduate of Riverhead High School and received her Associates Degree from SUNY Delhi in 1967.

Bette's family was her number one pride and joy. Surviving is her loving husband, Rod Warner; children: Leslie Kohler (Alan), Janice DiGiacomo, and Kathryn Oyler (Jared); six grandchildren: Alan, Kristen, Joe, Annie, Brett, and Erin; as well as her very close cousin Susan Terry.

Bette has touched countless lives as a devoted and kind wife, mother, grandmother, friend, and a cherished volunteer for several organizations- but especially the First Presbyterian Church of Hawley, and previously the First Presbyterian Church of Woodbury Heights.

Camping, boating, and gardening were just a few of the adventures she shared with family and friends. The entire family loved to gather at Grammie's house for her homemade cookies and Grammie-Gravy. Bette's love for the Philadelphia Phillies was often met with teasing by her grandkids who are fans of rival teams.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 21 at 11AM at the First Presbyterian Church in Hawley. Friends may call from 10AM until the start of the service. Inurnment will take place in the columbarium at the First Presbyterian Church. A luncheon at the church will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Lehigh Valley Topper Cancer Institute, the First Presbyterian Church of Hawley, or a charity of your choice.
