Barbara Lynne Vennie, age 85, died Monday, March 10th, 2025.

Barbara was born July 20th, 1939, in Bethlehem, PA and was the daughter of the late Robert J. and Jean (Bewick) Pierson. She was a graduate of Hawley High School, Class of 1957.

She resided in Blooming Grove, PA, where she spent her time as a hairdresser at her own Barbara's Beauty Boutique. She was also a member of Eastern Star in Hawley, PA for over 60 years. Barbara, aka Grammy, was a caring and compassionate grandmother, and her most favorite way to spend her time was with her grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her son: William J. Vennie of Blooming Grove, PA; two daughters-in-law: Peggy Sue Olson of Tafton and Megan Vennie of Blooming Grove; four granddaughters: Angela Vennie of Pittsburgh, Marissa Vennie of Hawley, Brooke (Vennie) Hochreither of Hawley, and Paige Vennie of Hawley; and two great grandsons: Carter Lavoie and Samuel Hochreither.

She was predeceased by her son, Robert J. Vennie in 2000, and her husband of 60 years Robert W. Vennie in 2018. She cherished the time they spent together.

A private ceremony will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel and inurnment in Pine Grove Cemetery in Paupack.

The family would like to thank Wayne Woodlands Manor for the care and compassion shown to Barbara in her last years.
