Obituary of Margaret Ann Schiess

Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Margaret Ann "Peggy" (Camara) Schiess, age 80, of White Sand Springs, Tafton passed away peacefully at home with her beloved partner Ron at her side on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Formerly of Greenwood Lake, NY, she was preceded in death by her husband Richard. Ron and Peggy met when they were volunteering with the soup kitchen at the First Presbyterian Church in Hawley, a shared activity they continued for many years. Peggy learned to keep Ron on dish duty as his cooking skills left a bit to be desired. They moved to Hobe Sound, FL, and then settled in Stuart, FL before returning to Pennsylvania recently to be closer to family. Peggy loved doing puzzles and playing cards and mahjongg. Peggy is survived by her partner of 12 years: Ron Bauer; a daughter: Lynn; and Cathy and Dave Kellstrom, Ron's daughter and son-in-law who were like family to her. She was predeceased by three brothers, Eddie, John and Mike Calling hours will be Monday, May 19, from 4 PM to 7 PM at Teeters' Funeral Chapel, 507 Church St, Hawley, PA. Her memorial service will follow at 7:00 PM with Rev. William Samford officiating. Ron and his family thank God for the many family and friends that have been loving and helpful to them. If you would like to donate to a charity, Peggy's favorite was St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or go to www.stjude.org.
