One of my fondest memories as a child, was that I loved visiting my Uncle David and my Aunt Debbie in Washington, D.C., where he took my brother and I to the Smithsonian dinosaur museum, we rode the Metro, and he showed us the Washington Monument.
When my family moved to Germany, he made sure we still felt connected by sending us exciting American toys every Christmas. He was one of the few family members who visited us in Germany multiple times, and he even hosted our whole family on an unforgettable trip to the UK.
But his kindness went further than gifts and travel. He was there for us during one of the hardest times in our lives—when my father passed away. He spoke at his funeral, cooked meals for us, and gave my mother a sense of peace during those dark days. His presence was a source of comfort, strength, and support.
Uncle Dave was always there for us and so many others. His kindness, generosity, and love made a substantial mark on our lives. He will be deeply missed.

David was my husband and the love of my life for over 35 years. We have 2 successful children and 2 adorable granddaughters. We traveled the world and had the time of our lives! I will always love you and miss you so much! Rest in peace, my love.

This is a beautiful tribute to a life well lived!!! I am so sad and still shocked by the news. I remember him living with us in California when I was a young girl, me reading at his wedding, our Kentucky trip and of course our amazing trip to Europe. I will treasure all these memories. He will be missed greatly.

Very nice obituary described Dave perfectly! Will always cherish the many shared experiences -- the Derby and the Preakness, Africa, Greece, Belize and more. I know how much Dave loved his family and I hope each one of you will remember that. God be with you in your sorrow and may Dave rest in peace!
