Thomas A. Stepanski, Sr.

Thomas A. Stepanski, Sr., 81, of Hawley, passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2025, at Delaware Valley Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Matamoras.


Born in Nanticoke, PA, he was the son of the late Kazmaier and Margaret (Mazeikas) Szczepanski.


Thomas earned his bachelor’s degree from King’s College and his master’s degree from Columbia University. He built a distinguished career as a cosmetic chemist, serving as vice president international at Kolmar Labs in Port Jervis, NY.


He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Judith Lee (Partington) Stepanski; his daughter, Suzanne Goble and her husband, Ken of Hawley, PA; two sons, Thomas A. Stepanski, Jr. and his wife, Elizabeth Katz of Lords Valley, PA, and Michael Stepanski of Wilkes-Barre, PA; and four grandchildren, Kristina Stepanski, Justin Stepanski, Dr. Jessica Farrah, and Alex Goble.


Thomas loved his career as a cosmetic chemist which afforded him to be able to travel the world alongside his beloved wife Judith. Tom was an avid numismatist (coin collector) and shared that love with his son Thomas Jr. Some of his favorite memories included family vacations to Sandy Haven Camp Fishing Lodge on Lake Nippising in Canada and the Hawaiian Islands. Thomas was known to have a chat and Crown Royal at his favorite bar The Erie Hotel with friends and loved ones.


Memorial will be held at The Trackside at The Erie Hotel on October 25, 2025 from 11:00 am to 2:20 pm ET. 1 Jersey Ave, Port Jervis, NY 12771.
