Joshua Daniel Glicas Obituary

Joshua Glicas, age 17, of Hawley traveled beyond this mortal plane on Monday, September 22nd 2025.

Josh was born a scientist and skeptic in Phoenixville, PA on May 22nd 2008. He attended Wallenpaupack Area High School and had aspired to join the Air Force after graduation.

Josh lived his life through poetic lenses, seeing and creating visions others could only dream of. His knowledge of science, talents in art, aptitude for music, and ability to reason made him not only a smart young man, but a creative, inspiring teacher to everyone he met. He had a knack for playing guitar, proving people wrong, and being a listening ear when needed. He valued respect, honesty, and loyalty, and was a fierce protector of his family.

His love and care knew no bounds; he accepted all living beings as they were, finding unique beauty in each and every one. He continued to show selflessness and compassion even on his final day, when he donated to LiveOn NY to save lives and give hope to others. He has touched countless lives during his time on this plane and, even now, continues to be the loving, giving, beautiful hero he always has been.

Joshua is survived by his mother, Heather Corsiglia, father, Michael Glicas, stepfather, Michael Corsiglia, sisters Anne-Marie Wolff, Aubrey Wolff, Isabella Corsiglia, brother Alexander Glicas, sister Ava Corsiglia, and nephew Oliver Jackson. He is also survived by his grandparents, Barbara Deemer, Kevin Rapp, Kathleen Glicas, and Stanley Glicas. All of whom will remember Josh fondly when walking in nature, respectfully and responsibly catching critters, listening to or playing music, cooking, and when pondering a random question they know Josh would’ve known the answer to. He was always right, after all.

A viewing will be held at Teeters’ East Chapel, 507 Church Street, Hawley, PA on Tuesday, September 30th from 4:00PM to 7:00PM. A celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to LiveOnNY Foundation, 30-30 47th Avenue, 9th Floor, New York, NY 11101, Attn: Jenny Lai.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to LiveOnNY Foundation, the staff of Maria Fareri’s Children’s Hospital, the staff of the Ronald McDonald House of the Greater Hudson Valley, and all who truly supported Josh throughout his life.
