Audry E. Bea Obituary

Audry E. Bea, age 93, of Hawley passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at Wayne Woodlands Manor in Waymart.

Born December 3, 1931, in Honesdale, PA Audry was the daughter of the late Miles A. and Ida M. (Kittner) Gibbons.

She dedicated her career to caring for others as a licensed practical nurse at the VA Hospital in Batavia, NY, where her compassion and commitment touched the lives of many veterans and their families.

Audry was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose love for her family was unwavering.

She is survived by her daughter: Ramona Schwartz of Hawley, PA, and one son: Jeffrey and his wife, Cindy Bea of Cowlesville, NY. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: John Schwartz and his fiancée, Kristen Sweeney of Hawley, Thomas and his wife, Mary Schwartz of Hawley, Stephen and his wife, Kingsley Schwartz of Clarks Summit, PA, Chad and his wife, Stephanie Bea of Alden, NY, and Kristen Bea and her husband, Josh of Stephen City, VA. Audry was blessed with thirteen great grandchildren: Alexandra, Justin, Sean, John, Ryan, Jacob, Audrey, Bailey, Gunner, Janelle, Jaelyn, Scott and Henry, each of whom brought her tremendous joy and pride.

She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Clifford Bea, with whom she shared countless adventures traveling the country in their motorhome. Together they explored every corner that they could, making memories that would last a lifetime. Of all her travels, London, England, held a special place in her heart, and she often spoke fondly of her time there.

Audry was blessed with a second love, Ernest Schofield, whom her whole family grew to love. They were engaged, and their time together over the past ten years helped both with the loss of their spouses. Ernie’s family, Jim Schofield, wife Patty and their daughters, Ryan and Sophi, and Kathy O’Brien and her husband Michael and their daughter Ryleigh became and remain a part of the family.

Audry is also reunited in heaven with her dear son-in-law, Paul, and her beloved grandson, Cory.
