Gail Vee (Blaine) Masker, age 88, of Lords Valley passed into the arms of her Lord on Saturday, February 7, 2026, at home. She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Lether L. Masker, in 2011.
Born August 2, 1937, in Honesdale, Gail was the daughter of the late George Victor and Myra (Larish) Blaine. She worked as a secretary for A.M. Skier Insurance Agency, Hawley, for 53 years until her well-earned retirement.
A lifelong resident of Lords Valley, Gail was a member of Blooming Grove Vol. Fire Dept. and the Ladies Auxiliary and was one of the oldest members of the Blooming Grove Baptist Church, where she had been a vital and active volunteer most of her life. She had served Blooming Grove as both township auditor and historian. She had also been a 4-H leader in her younger years.
Gail is survived by her nephew, John Blaine and his wife Beverly of Lords Valley; her nieces, Marie Delling of New York, Jennie Longcoy of Hawley, Margie Hiller and her husband Robert of Hawley; several great nieces and nephews; and her very special family, Jon Castimore and his wife Kim, and their children Zaira-Rose, Max, Haleigh, and Rebecca Castimore-Mead and her husband Zachary.
In addition to her husband, Gail was preceded in death by two brothers, Jack and Zane Blaine, a nephew, George Blaine, and her sister-in-law, June Yusciewicz.
Visitation will be Thursday, Feb. 12, from 10 to 11 AM at Blooming Grove Baptist Church, 550 Rt 402, Blooming Grove, PA. The funeral/Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00 AM at the church with Rev. Douglas Rhine officiating. Burial will be in Lords Valley Cemetery, Lords Valley, after the funeral service.
