Edwin Patrick Merrill (Ed), age 66, of Hawley, died Monday, February 23, 2026, peacefully, at home.

Ed was born April 6, 1959, in Queens, NY and was the son of the late Edwin George and Patricia (Corbett) Merrill.

Ed proudly served in the US Army and was a staunch supporter of the betterment of his country.

He found his joy in his hobbies: landscaping, politics, construction, playing guitar, singing, making those whom he loved happy and most-importantly, making sure his wife, Veronica was left with a beautiful and fully-functional home when the inevitable and undeniable day eventually came.

He is survived by his wife: Veronica Ann (Aarne) Merrill and his children: Jason Merrill of Hawley, PA, Sandra Merrill of Bronx, NY, Edward Merrill of Dillon, Montana and Laura Merrill of Naples, Florida, as well as her daughter; his beloved granddaughter- Layla Rahman. His last remaining sibling, Deborah Godfrey of Spring Hill, FL, was and will always be especially cherished by him.

Calling hours will be Thursday, March 5th from 5 to 7 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA, followed by a prayer service at 7 PM, with Deacon Paul J. Cooper officiating.
