Erich E. Martin, age 62, died Friday, March 13, 2026. He is survived by his wife, Maureen (Davey) Martin, his son, Sean T. Martin, brother-in-law, John Davey, and sister, Lisa Wiedeman.

Born September 10, 1963, in Manhattan, NY, Erich (Rick/Ricky) was the son of Ida L. (Petersen) Martin of Hawley and the late Erich H. Martin. He earned his associate degree from Alfred State College. Rick was mechanically talented and served as a Quality Control Engineer at Veeco for 17+ years prior to his proprietorship. He loved his family and friends, boating, billiards, bowling, ping pong, and his family Dalmatian, Chief. Rick enjoyed spending time at the lake and explaining the history of Vaseline glass, the music boxes and player pianos. Rick was mesmerized by fish and his African Grey Parrot, Reggie. His son, Sean, was his pride and joy and lovingly referred to as “my boy” by Rick.

Rick was the proprietor of Martin's Lakefront Cottages on Fairview Lake in Tafton, PA, and the owner and operator of the Hawley Antique Exchange in Hawley, PA. He was an avid fly fisherman. Rick was also a member of the East Coast Cichlids and Vaseline Glass Club.

Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel, PA.
