Barbara "Bobbie" Hall Obituary

Barbara "Bobbie" Hall passed on June 17th, 2026, just hours before her 90th birthday. Bobbie is survived by her devoted husband of 67 years, Vince. She is also survived by three children, Kathy, David, and Chris and his wife Shannon. Also by an array of "grands:" grandchildren Lacey Ann Marie and Carter, blended grandchildren Makayla, Logan, George, and Audrey, and great-grandchildren Danika Kelly, Greyson Christopher, and Scarlett Rose.

Bobbie, or Babs as she was often affectionately referred to, lived an extraordinary life. She graduated from college with a degree in chemistry and worked as a chemist for a short period before starting her family. Over the years she took on many hobbies. She was a freelance greeting card writer for Hallmark (Peanuts cards being her specialty), played piano, sang, tap danced, taught CCD, taught adult literacy, gardened, more gardening, then gardened some more. She travelled the world, Africa, Australia, Central America, South America, and, of course, most of the United States. All of this while at the same time being the founding matriarch of a thriving business, Claws 'N' Paws Wild Animal Park. Vince and Bobbie took a piece of land covered with trees and built "the zoo in the woods." She was in charge of creating the gift shop and advertising and promotion, among many other countless tasks. She was the face of the zoo and the first to greet many of the well over a million visitors over the past 53 years. Bobbie's legacy cannot be described in only a few paragraphs, and her loss creates a hole that cannot be filled.
