It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Betty J. Roberts, who passed away peacefully on July 14, 2026, at the age of 81.

Born on September 4, 1944, in Honesdale, PA, Betty lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to family and friends. She was known for her generous heart, fiery spirit, and ability to bring comfort and joy to those around her.

Betty is survived by her partner of over 40 years Joseph Brady; her five daughters, Debbie Azzarelli and her husband Sam Azzerelli, Corrine Roberts, Lisa Corcoran, Betsy Roberts and her partner Brian Hofer, Missy Hendrickson and her husband Paul Hendrickson; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren who she always referred to as her, "fishing buddies;" her sister Gloria Blockberger; niece Roxanne Bowen, as well as many other loving family members.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents Erma and Leslie Simpson and Reuben Blockberger; her three brothers, George Blockberger, John Blockberger and Jim Blockberger; and a granddaughter, Sara Ann Wagner.

Family and friends will remember Betty for her compassion, strength, laughter and unwavering love. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

There will be a graveside service on Monday, July 20, at 11:00 AM at Indian Orchard Cemetery, Texas Palmyra Hwy., Honesdale with Pastor Andy Weidner of Hawley United Methodist Church officiating.

Private cremation was held at Lake Region Crematory, Lake Ariel.
