Obituary of Edward James Chuprevich

Edward James Chuprevich, age 80, of Hawley, died Monday, March 14, 2005, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Born September 10, 1924, in Palmyra Twp., PA, he was the son of the late Charles and the late Beatrice (Yarosavage) Chuprevich. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, the former Catherine Compton. He served in the Marine Corps during World War II.
A devoted husband and an avid golfer, he worked for Gumble Bros. until his retirement in 1989.
Mr. Chuprevich was a member of Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, Hawley.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters: Barbara Zalasky of Milford, PA, and Susan Guccini of Paupack, PA; one son: Edward Chuprevich of Monmouth, ME; nine grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Thursday, Mar. 17, 2005, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, Mar. 18, at 10:00 AM at Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 319 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, with Rev. William B. Healey, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Queen Of Peace Cemetery, Hawley.
