John Joseph Sheehan, age 76, of Tanglwood North, Tafton, died Sunday, September 4, 2005, at Wayne Memorial Hospital, Honesdale. Born in Manhattan, NY, he was the son of the late John William and the late Jenny (Kosinsky) Sheehan. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, the former Jean Mary Trimarco. He is also survived by a daughter, Kathleen Nestasia of Tafton, PA.
He served in the Army during World War II and in Korea. A retired New York City police officer, he was a member of Policemens Benevolent Association and American Legion in New York City.
Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 AM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, with Rev. Martin L. Cox, Jr., Pastor, officiating. Interment will be in Green Gates Cemetery, Hawley.
