Robert William Smoot, age 57, of Tafton died Monday, July 25, 2016 at Wayne Memorial Hospital in Honesdale.
Mr. Smoot was born April 7, 1959 in Elmont, NY and was the son of the late Delus Richard and Claire Patricia (Edgner) Smoot.
He was a member of the roads and grounds crew at Hemlock Farms Community Association.
Rob loved Harley Davidson motorcycles, NASCAR, the Yankees and the Dallas Cowboys and also enjoyed hunting and fishing.
He is survived by two brothers: Greg Smoot of Oneonta, NY and Richard Smoot of Long Island, NY; one sister: Marilyn Smoot of Long Island, NY, his uncle, Elmer Smoot of Dogpatch, ID and his life partner, Lis Baumann of Hawley, PA.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 17th at 11AM at the Promised Land Sportsman's Assoc. Pavilion, 901 Route 390, Greentown, PA, followed by a celebration of Robert's life.
Cremation will be at Lake Region Crematory in Lake Ariel.
