Penelope Marjorie Schwab Jones, age 62, of Anchorage, Alaska passed away on July 26, 2016. Penelope was born in Honesdale, PA to William Sr. and Marjorie Schwab on February 12, 1954. She was a business woman who invested many years into the success of Jones Gun Shop, Northeast Firearms and Gentleman's Showcase. Throughout her life Penny was an avid painter and writer and best of all a rock collector. These paintings, writings and rocks where always something the family loved to joke with her about. These things now are the family's prized possessions. Penny's true love was the beautiful state of Alaska. She found peace and happiness in those mountains and on trips to Lake Louise with her good friend George. Penelope is survived by her parents: William Sr. and Marjorie Schwab of Honesdale; her son: Michael A. Jones Jr of White Mills; her daughter: Cora M. Jones of Lakeville; three brothers: William Schwab Jr, Michael Schwab, and Patrick Schwab; four sisters: Shelley Schwab, Lisa Weinger, Rebecca Turner and Molly Rhoads; many nieces and nephews; and her precious dog BB. She was proceeded in death by brother in law, Karl Weinger, and by the woman that had the biggest impact on her life, her grandmother Cora White. Visitation will take place at Teeters' Funeral Chapel 505 Church St.Hawley PA from 1 to 3 PM on Sunday, September 11, 2016, followed by a Memorial Service at 3 PM. Memorial Donations may be made to ALS Therapy Development Institute at www.als.net for ALS research in honor of her nephew Richard Pollock.
