Alexander G Hartman, age 78, of Masthope, Lackawaxen, PA and formerly of Ridgewood, Queens, NY died Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at St. Claire's Hospital in Dover, NJ. Mr. Hartman was born April 18, 1938 in New York City, NY and was the son of the late Alexander G and Helen (Foley) Hartman. He retired from Con Edison, NY as an electronic mechanic. Alexander loved tomato growing and gardening He is survived by his wife of 56 years: Margaret (Kenny) Hartman, two daughters: Eileen Vigliotti of Milford, CT, Maureen & her husband, John Brown of Hawley, PA and one son: Robert Hartman of South Lake Tahoe, CA and three grandchildren: Sean Brown, Brianna Brown,Joseph Vigliotti and Max his german shepherd. Calling hours will be Thursday, September 1st from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at Teeters' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. A prayer service will be held Friday, September 2nd at 2 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be in Green Gates Cemetery in Hawley. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, Pike Unit, 110 W. Harford St, Milford, PA 18337 or St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105
