Obituary of Reta S. Levy

Reta S. Levy, age 91, died Friday, October 21, 2016 at her home outside Honesdale. She was preceded in death by her husband of 29 years, Henry S. Levy. Born March 12, 1925, in Hawley, she was the daughter of the late Nicholas M. and Anna L. (Janoski) Sensen. She was a graduate of Hawley High School. Formerly of Hawley, she divided her time between her homes in Palm Beach, FL and Honesdale. She was a member of Holy Spirit Roman Catholic Church in Lantana, FL and BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church in Hawley. She was also a member of Honesdale Golf Club and Honesdale Country Club. In her younger years, Reta loved to travel. She is survived by two cousins: Florence Simmons and James Stroening, both of Wisconsin, as well as many close friends and dedicated caretakers. She was preceded in death by her sister, Theresa Sensen. There will be a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, October 27, at 10:00 AM at BVM Queen of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 314 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, celebrated by Rev., Richard W. Beck, Pastor. Burial will follow in B.V.M. Queen Of Peace Cemetery, Hawley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Wayne County Public Library, 1406 Main St., Honesdale, PA 18431.
