Obituary of Magdalene Krause

Magdalene Krause, age 89, of Woodloch Springs, Hawley died Thursday, July 6, 2023, at home. Mrs. Krause was born September 26, 1933, at Bottrop, Germany and was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Helene (Schade) Asmuss. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Heinz B. Krause in 2018, a sister, Irmgard and a brother, Gerhard. Magdalene volunteered at the Hawley Public Library, the Other Shop Two, Dorflinger gift shop and was a member of the Red Hat Society. She and her husband had been active members of St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church where she was a member of the willing workers and later Bethel Lutheran Church. She is survived by one daughter: Ingrid and her husband, Peter Katz of Locust Valley, NY and one son: Kurt Krause of Georgetown, DE; two granddaughters, Magdalene & Carrie Krause; two great grandchildren, Jade & Wayne Heinz. A memorial service will be held at a future date. Inurnment will be in Green Gates Cemetery in Hawley.
