Seldon Fish Friend Gilpin, age 85, Tanglwood Lakes, Greentown died Tuesday, February 3, 2004 at Wayne Woodlands Manor, Waymart. Mr. Gilpin was born October 15, 1918 at Angels, PA the son of the late Freeman and Myrtle (Hazleton) Gilpin. Predeceased by a brother, Charles Gilpin. He was Owner & Operator of Convoy Equipment for Metropolitan Convoy and Arco Forwarding. Mr. Gilpin was a member of Member of the Teamster Local 560, Greene-Dreher Fair Assoc., Palmyra Pike Planning Board, Paupack Hills Golf & Country Club. Graduate of Greene Dreher High School class of 1937 and dedicated member of the scholarship committee. He is survived by his wife: Frances A. (Duffy) Gilpin. They would have been married 60 years on Feb. 9th. Brother of four sisters: Doris Smith of Moscow, PA, Janet Oney of Hallstead, PA, Eleanor Troutman of Tobyhanna, PA, Phyllis Wignall of Moscow, PA Calling hours will be Thursday Feb 5, 2004 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Friday Feb 6, 2004 at 11:00AM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley with Rev. Martin L. Cox, Jr, pastor of Hawley United Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Queen Of Peace Cemetery Memorials may be made to Greene Dreher Scholarship Fund c/o Eleanor Troutman 552 Carlton Rd. Tobyhanna, PA 18466
