Arthur J. Gnecco, age 80, Lakeville died Sunday, November 21, 2004 at Ellen Memorial Health Care Center, Honesdale. Mr. Gnecco was born July 5, 1924 at Jersey City, NJ the son of the late Louis and Hattie (Thorpe) Gnecco. He married Margaret Conlin 1952, He served in the Army from 1944 to 1946 during World War II .During World War II, he served in the European Campaigns. Arthur had done course work with Delray Instgitue for Radio and TV repair. He was a former Supervisor for Paupack Twp. He also worked for the Paupack Township Road Department. He was retired as a Assistant Station Master In New York City for the Pennsylvania and later the Penn/Central Railroads in 1967.. Mr. Gnecco was a member of Bishop Hoban Council 927, Knights Of Columbus, Fourth Degree, Hawley, PA 18428 Knights Of Columbus Council 797, Hawley, PA 18428 American Legion, Wilson-Kelch Post 311, Hawley, PA 18428 He is survived by his wife: Margaret (Conlin) Gnecco Brotehr, Robert Gnecco of Lyndhurst, NJ; Nephews, James And Paul Mason and Several Other Nieces And Nephews, Calling hours will be Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Wednesday at 10:00 at Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 319 Chestnut Ave, Hawley where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated by Rev. William B. Healey, Pastor. Burial will be in Queen Of Peace Cemetery following the Mass. Memorials may be made to Knights Of Columbus Council 797, Hawley, PA 18428
