Obituary of Anne Gresham Regenski

Anne Gresham Regenski, age 88, Hawley died Wednesday, December 1, 2004, at Marian Community Hospital, Carbondale. Mrs. Regenski was born July 3, 1916, in Jessup, PA, and was the daughter of the late Thomas and Bridgette (Brennan) Gresham. Her husband of 60 years was Joseph S. Regenski, Sr. He predeceased her in 1999. Anne and her husband owned and operated The Tafton Manor from 1944 to 1978 where she served as head chef the entire time. She had been a member of the Throop Senior Citizens Club and, more recently, she attended Pike County Area Agency activities in Blooming Grove. She is survived by a son: Thomas R. Regenski of Hawley, PA; son & daughter-in-law, Joseph Skip & Marlene Regenski of Hawley, PA; a sister: Mary Gresham Finan of Waymart, PA; grandsons, Thomas M., Paul, Joseph R., & Joseph S. III Regenski; granddaughter, Bridgette Ann Gelderman;and great grandchildren, Caleb, Evan, Taylor & Trevor. Calling hours will be Sunday from 2 to 4 PM and 7 to 9 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Monday at 10:00 AM at Queen Of Peace Roman Catholic Church, 319 Chestnut Ave, Hawley, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. William B. Healey, Pastor. A Prayer Service will be held at the Chapel on Sunday evening. Burial will be in St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow, on Monday following the Mass. Memorial contributions may be made to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northeastern Pennsylvania, 216 North River St, Suite 450, Wilkes-Barre, PA 18702.
