Obituary of Arne Charles Tveter

Arne Charles Tveter, age 78, of Woodloch Springs, Hawley, died Tuesday, December 21, 2004, at Community Medical Center, Scranton. Mr. Tveter was born April 16, 1926 in Brooklyn, NY, and was the son of the late Johan and Camela Tveter. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, the former Audrey Larsen. He served in the Navy from 1944 to 1946 during World War II in the Pacific Theater. He was retired as a floor installer in New York City since 1990. Mr. Tveter was a member of New York City District Council of Carpenters. Active in Bethel Lutheran Mens Breakfast group, he was a regular attender of that church. He is survived by his wife: Audrey (Larsen) Tveter; four daughters: Diane Trois of New City, NY, daughter & son-in-law, Lynn & Tom Laco of Cartersville, GA; daughter & son-in-law, Susan & Vincent Castigleone of Garnerville, NY; daughter & son-in-law, Jodi & Michael Huling of Summit, NJ; one son: Richard Tveter of Congers, NY; brother & sister-in-law, Harry & Delores Tveter of Jackson, NJ; and brother & sister-in-law, J. Kenneth & Janice Tveter of Hawley, PA. Calling hours will be Thursday, Dec. 23, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, PA. The funeral will be Friday at 10:30 at TEETERS' East Chapel, 505 Church St, Hawley, with Rev. Norm Beighley, Pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Green Gates Cemetery, Hawley, following the service.
