Obituary of William R. Lukacinsky

William R. Lukacinsky, age 77, of Paupack died Thursday, February 24, 2005 at home. Mr. Lukacinsky was born June 3, 1927 in Luzerne, PA and was the son of the late Steven Lukacinsky and the late Helen Swedras. He served in the Navy during World War II, the Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He served on the USS Rodgers-DD876 and was a Plank Owner (original crew member). He later served on 4 different aircraft carriers. He retired as an Aviation Storekeeper Chief after serving 20 years with the US Navy. He also retired as a surveyor for Schonagel & Schonagel, after 18 years. Mr. Lukacinsky was a member of VFW Eckweiler DeGroat Hazer Post 784. He is survived by his wife of 51 years: Marion I. (Ansley) Lukacinsky, one daughter: Donna Stuccio of Lakeville, PA and two sons: William Lukacinsky of Paupack, PA, Joseph Lukacinsky of Los Angeles, CA and one brother: Steven Lukacinsky of Buzzard's Bay, MA; 6 grandchildren and several nieces & nephews. Calling hours will be Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005 from 10 to 11 am at Paupack United Methodist Church. The funeral will be Saturday, Feb. 26, 2005 at 11:00 at Paupack United Methodist Church, Rt 507, Paupack with Rev. Robert B. Kolvik-Campbell, Pastor officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, Paupack on Saturday. Memorials may be made to Tafton Fire & Rescue, Tafton, PA 18464
